Online Piano Lessons

Online piano lessons are geared to students age, needs and learning style.

Students can study for pleasure, participate in festivals and other concerts, and / or prepare for exams.

Lessons are aimed at developing technique and musicianship while respecting the learning capacities and the need for self-expression.

ONLINE GUIDE

Here is a short guide to demonstrate how easy it is to get you set-up for your first lesson.

  • Make sure your computer has working speakers and video (phones also work but the screen is smaller)
  • Position the camera to obtain a side view of the keyboard and the student.
  • Ensure good lighting and a quiet space where the lessons will not be interrupted by other members of the household.
  • Try to schedule the lessons during a time where there is limited online streaming within the home to ensure a better connection.
  • Set-up your computer and test the connection prior to the lesson start to ensure more lesson time.
  • Clink the link sent to you by your teacher or connect via the chosen platform.

If you would like a more advanced set-up and you have an electronic keyboard with midi capabilities, you can connect with your teacher’s keyboard. We suggest you explore the website Timewarp.com with your teacher.
